how to downgrade ios 5.0.1 to ios 5.0(full tutorial)

After apple released  iOS 5 the Downgrade using SHSH blobs saved by Cydia or TinyUmbrella has been impossible because Apple added some new checks to ensure that the users could only run the latest version of the iOS firmware but now iH8Snow released  iFaith1.4 and he making it possible.
In this post, we’re going to show you all steps for how to Downgrade iOS 5.0.1 To iOS 5 Using iFaith V1.4?

  1.  Download iFaith 1.4 for Windows.
  2. Select the ‘Build *signed* IPSW w/Blobs’.
  3. Browse for the saved SHSH blobs file that you put in a safe directory.
  4. Now you can select the directory of your iOS 5.0 firmware file for your idevice, or download it through iFaith.
  5. After select your iOS 5 firmware file, iFaith will begin creating a custom iOS 5 firmware file with your SHSH blobs and APTicket.
  6. Select Proceed and then Start to enter your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad into DFU mode (follow the on-screen instructions).
  7. Now close iFaith, open iTunes, select your idevice in the left-hand menu, then hold down the left Shift on your keyboard before restoring to your saved custom iOS 5.0 firmware.
Congratulations, your iOS 5.0.1 has been downgraded to the iOS 5.0 firmware (Thanks to iH8Snow).

  • Remark: You must have APTicket + SHSH blobs file saved using iFaith.
  • iFaith only works with devices iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G and 4G, the first-gen iPad 1 .( iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are  non supported)
